Improved Speed |
- pcx.com.au is now running on a new server. This will give better performance, particularly when more more people are accessing the site
- Multi-item pages are now displayed much faster. With shorter page lengths you get to refine your selection without having to see the full list of items.

Improved Login |
- We have reworked the login process to reflect issues we have found from our users.
Recover Password is no longer, and now we call it Reset Password. This is significant because the new method will not reset a current password until the person responds to an email. This means that someone who knows your email address but does not have access to your email can not change your password.
- Better integration beween on-line and non-online business. - Anyone who has just generated customer accounting record will now automatically be enabled and advised on how they can access their data on-line.

Checkout Changes |
- Overall we have simpified the process of checking out.
While much of the Checkout process looks the same, the management of shipping costs is substantially improved. The shipping calculator now supports a larger range of order sizes, in the case of Parcel Post we can split an order into two consignments to allow for larger orders. Also where the shipping calculator can determine a price, then the order is processed without any further issues. Where the shipping calculator can not provide an on-line quote, then you are given several choices with regards to the shipping method and pricing for your required shipping quote.
Finally instructions on how to arrange payment and who does what when are detailed in the checkout process.
- More Help - Each Checkout step and each shipping method is explained. Show me..
- Improved presentation at the end of Checkout - the entire order and a full explanation of what has and will happen is provided both on-screeen and in an email forwarded to the person ordering. Show Me.

More Express Post Satchels |
We are now supporting the new Australia Post larger satchels. These include the 3Kg Large and 5Kg Large. These are fully supported in the on-line shipping calculator so that they are proposed where the order is within the size and weight that can be contained in the particular satchel.
This translates to big savings in shipping costs for more distant locations and faster delivery overall. For example even if a destination is not included in the 'next business day' delivery zone, it will often be cheaper and quicker delivery than alternative shipping methods. (and you can see all this in the shipping calculator). See Details.. |
