Buyer's Guide - Disc Filing systems
Disc Filing Systems - Available options and their benefits
It is all very well to burn CDs and DVDs but if you have lots of them how do you store and retrieve them?
Many people simply stack them in a cakebox (spindle) but this is a problem when you want to find one specific disc. You will handle all the discs above the one you take out.
If you have hundreds or thousands of discs what do you do?
This buyer's guide provides you with a range of choices, all of which utilise the double disc suspension/hanging sleeve.
Each hanging sleeve has a front and back slot to take two discs or; a contents list in the front and the associated disc in the back.
Additonally each sleeve has an writable area at the top where you label or identify each sleeve.
These suspension sleeves sit on two bars, just like the normal office filing draws.
The benefits of this approach are:
- You can move discs around, taking them from one case to another as you re-organise your disc library.
- You only pick out the one disc (or two) that you need at the time.
- You can take out and replace discs without touching their recording surface - so that you are not going to shorten their life.
Here is a summary of the filing draws/systems we carry - please note that some include some number of Suspsension Sleeves and others not - Indpendent of this, we have the sleeves available as a separate item.
